SAP 155 Antibody (B-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects SAP 155 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SAP 155 (B-3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SAP 155 protein, also known as spliceosome-associated protein 155 or SF3B1, is a crucial component of the spliceosomal machinery, consisting of 1,304 amino acids and characterized by eleven HEAT repeats. SAP 155 is primarily localized to nuclear speckles, where SAP 155 plays a vital role in the assembly of the U2 small nuclear ribonucleoprotein (snRNP) complex, essential for the splicing of pre-mRNA. SAP 155 interacts with other spliceosomal proteins such as SAP 49, SAP 130, and SAP 145, forming the SF3B splicing factor complex. SAP 155 undergoes phosphorylation at N-terminal Thr-Pro dipeptide motifs by Dyrk1A and cyclin E/Cdk2, a post-translational modification that is indispensable for the spliceosome′s functionality and the overall splicing process. Alternative splicing of the SAP 155 gene results in various isoforms, which may have distinct regulatory roles in gene expression and cellular processes.
