SEE ALSO...

RPA40 Antibody (H-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects RPA40 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). RPA40 (H-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. RPA40 plays a crucial role in ribosomal RNA transcription, essential for ribosome biogenesis and protein synthesis in cells. Located in the nucleolus, RPA40 functions as a vital subunit of RNA polymerase I (Pol I), responsible for transcribing class I genes that encode large ribosomal RNA. RPA40′s interaction with other subunits, such as RPA16 and RPA135, proves critical for Pol I complex assembly and functionality, highlighting RPA40′s importance in regulating ribosomal RNA synthesis in response to various physiological stimuli. RPA40 also serves as an essential component of RNA polymerase III (Pol III), further underscoring RPA40′s significance in cellular transcriptional machinery.

Can RPA40 (H-6): sc-374443 monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

Asked by: jerojero
Thank you for your question. Yes, RPA40 (H-6): sc-374443 has been validated for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
