RNase L Antibody (H-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects RNase L in human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). RNase L plays a crucial role in the interferon-regulated 2-5A system, which is essential for mediating antiviral and antiproliferative responses. RNase L is primarily located in the cytoplasm, where 2-5A, a product of interferon-induced enzymes, triggers activation. The cytoplasmic localization of RNase L enables rapid response to viral infections by degrading viral RNA and limiting viral replication. Additionally, mutations in RNase L have been linked to increased prostate cancer risk, highlighting RNase L′s importance not only in antiviral defense but also in tumor suppression. The interaction of RNase L with various cellular pathways underscores RNase L′s potential as a therapeutic target, making anti-RNase L antibody (H-4) an invaluable tool for researchers studying immune responses and cancer biology.
