RNase III Drosha Antibody (C-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects RNase III Drosha protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). RNase III Drosha monoclonal antibody (C-7) is raised against amino acids 1071-1370 mapping at the C-terminus of RNase III of human origin. RNase III Drosha (C-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. RNase III Drosha plays a critical role in microRNA biogenesis, essential regulators of gene expression. Located primarily in the nucleus, RNase III Drosha processes primary microRNA transcripts (pri-miRNAs) into precursor microRNAs (pre-miRNAs), a crucial step in microRNA maturation. This processing regulates gene expression, as microRNAs inhibit target mRNAs, influencing cellular processes like development, differentiation, and stress response. RNase III Drosha functions within a multi-protein complex including DGCR8, enhancing specificity and efficiency in recognizing and cleaving pri-miRNAs. RNase III Drosha and DGCR8 interaction demonstrates how protein-protein interactions regulate RNA processing, revealing complex mechanisms governing gene expression and cellular function.

What is the expected molecular weight of RNase III Drosha?

RNase III Drosha has an expected molecular weight of approximately 160 kDa, however this protein has 4 known isoforms produced by alternate splicing, and it can also form dimers, so the molecular weight may vary depending on the specific samples being studied.
