Datasheets
  • RCL Antibody (A-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 κ RCL antibody provided at 200 µg/ml
  • raised against amino acids 1-174 representing full length RCL of human origin
  • recommended for detection of RCL of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA
  • m-IgG Fc BP-HRP and m-IgGκ BP-HRP are the preferred secondary detection reagents for RCL Antibody (A-7) for WB applications. These reagents are now offered in bundles with RCL Antibody (A-7) (see ordering information below).

    SEE ALSO...

RCL Antibody (A-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody that detects RCL protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-RCL antibody (A-7) is available as non-conjugated format. RCL protein, consisting of 174 amino acids, is a member of the deoxyribonucleoside 5′-monophosphate N-glycosidase family and plays a crucial role in cellular proliferation and c-Myc-mediated transformation, making RCL significant in cancer biology and therapeutic research. RCL is predominantly expressed in heart, kidney, liver, skeletal muscle, and spleen, with lower expression levels in brain, colon, lung, peripheral blood leukocytes, placenta, small intestine, and thymus, and shows notable overexpression in a significant proportion of breast cancers. RCL protein is localized in both nucleus and cytoplasm, with expression being induced by transcription factor ER81. RCL gene is highly conserved across species, including chimpanzee, dog, mouse, rat, and zebrafish, and is located on human chromosome 6p21.1, a region harboring approximately 1,200 genes and implicated in various genetic disorders. Understanding RCL function and expression patterns is essential for elucidating RCL role in cellular processes and potential as a biomarker or therapeutic target in cancer and other diseases.

What is the recommended fixation method for immunofluorescence staining with RCL (A-7): sc-365683 monoclonal antibody?

    Asked by: Germaine
Thank you for your inquiry. We recommend fixing cells for 5 minutes in -10°C methanol and allowing to air dry. The full protocol can be viewed here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunofluorescence-cell-staining
