SEE ALSO...

RAI3 Antibody (G-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects RAI3 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). RAI3 (G-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Retinoic acid-induced protein 3 (RAI3) is a transmembrane G-protein-coupled receptor that plays a crucial role in several vital biological processes, such as embryogenesis, cell growth, differentiation, and apoptosis. RAI3 is primarily located in the cell membrane, which is significant because this positioning allows RAI3 to interact with extracellular signals and transduce them into the cell, thereby influencing intracellular pathways that regulate cell fate. Notably, RAI3 expression is upregulated in many tumor cell lines that harbor mutant p53, indicating a potential link between RAI3 and tumorigenesis. Furthermore, retinoic acid receptors directly regulate RAI3 during transcription in embryonal carcinoma differentiation, highlighting RAI3′s importance in developmental biology. Given RAI3′s role in maintaining epithelial cell homeostasis and potential as a molecular target for breast cancer diagnosis and treatment, RAI3 represents a promising focus for further research and therapeutic strategies.

What is the recommended fixation method for immunofluorescence staining with RAI3 (G-6): sc-373825 monoclonal antibody?

Asked by: jenniferc
Thank you for your inquiry. We recommend fixing cells for 5 minutes in -10°C methanol and allowing to air dry. The full protocol can be viewed here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunofluorescence-cell-staining
