Raftlin Antibody (H-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Raftlin of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Raftlin (H-3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Raftlin, also known as RFTN1 (raftlin, lipid raft linker 1), plays a crucial role in the assembly and maintenance of lipid rafts, which are specialized membrane microdomains essential for B-cell activation during B-cell receptor (BCR) signaling. Raftlin, consisting of 578 amino acids, acts as a lipid anchor and is vital for modulating B-cell antigen receptor-mediated signaling and T cell receptor (TCR) signals, thereby influencing T cell-mediated immune responses. The gene encoding Raftlin is located on human chromosome 3, a region that harbors over 1,100 genes, including those associated with various genetic diseases and key tumor suppressor genes. Understanding Raftlin function is important not only for its role in immune responses but also for its implications in the pathology of diseases linked to chromosome 3, such as Marfan Syndrome and von Hippel-Lindau syndrome.
