R1 Antibody (E-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects ribonucleotide reductase in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-ribonucleotide reductase antibody (E-7) specifically targets the R1 subunit of ribonucleotide reductase, which plays a crucial role in the synthesis of deoxyribonucleotide triphosphates (dNTPs), the building blocks necessary for DNA replication and repair. The R1 subunit is notable for allosteric regulatory sites, which allow responses to cellular signals and modulate enzyme activity, thereby ensuring appropriate dNTP levels during the cell cycle. This regulation supports the fidelity of DNA synthesis and repair processes, vital for maintaining genomic stability. Additionally, ribonucleotide reductase participates in nucleotide excision repair, with both R1 and R2 subunits being induced in response to UV light, highlighting their role in cellular responses to DNA damage. Anti-ribonucleotide reductase antibody (E-7) effectively detects this essential protein, making R1 (E-7) monoclonal antibody an invaluable tool for researchers studying DNA synthesis, repair mechanisms, and cell cycle regulation.
