R1 Antibody (A-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects R1 in mouse, rat, and human samples by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). R1 (A-10) antibody is available in non-conjugated forms and conjugated to agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® variants. R1, a key component of the ribonucleotide reductase complex, catalyzes ribonucleotide conversion to deoxyribonucleotides for DNA synthesis. This enzymatic function maintains proper deoxyribonucleoside triphosphate (dNTP) levels needed for DNA replication and repair. As the larger subunit in the complex, R1 contains allosteric regulatory sites that respond to cellular conditions. While R1 expression remains constant throughout the cell cycle, R2 subunit expression correlates with S-phase, ensuring steady dNTP supply for DNA processes.
