QTRT1 Antibody (D-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects QTRT1 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-QTRT1 antibody (D-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. QTRT1, or queuine tRNA-ribosyltransferase 1, consists of 403 amino acids and is a member of the queuine tRNA-ribosyltransferase family, playing a crucial role in the modification of tRNA molecules. Specifically, QTRT1 catalyzes the exchange of queuine for guanine at the wobble position of tRNAs with GUN anticodons, resulting in the formation of the hypermodified nucleoside queuosine, which is essential for proper tRNA functioning and protein synthesis. The interaction between QTRT1 and QTRTD1 is vital for enzymatic activity, as both work together to facilitate this modification. QTRT1 contains four key residues—Cys302, Cys304, Cys307, and His333—that are critical for zinc ion binding, with one zinc ion bound per subunit, highlighting the importance of metal ions in enzymatic function. QTRT1 is highly conserved across various species, including chimpanzees, dogs, cows, zebrafish, and even model organisms like fruit flies and C. elegans, and is located on human chromosome 19p13.2, underscoring evolutionary significance and potential implications in genetic studies and disease research.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-398918 P appropriate for?

Asked by: AbPolly
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
