    SEE ALSO...

PXK Antibody (D-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects PXK protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PXK (D-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PXK, also known as PX domain containing serine/threonine kinase, FLJ20335, MONaKA, or Modulator of Na+/K+-ATPase, is a 578 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in regulating synaptic transmission and electrical excitability in the brain by interacting with Na+/K+-ATPase subunits β1 and β3. This interaction is vital for maintaining cellular ion homeostasis and proper neuronal function. While PXK belongs to the protein kinase superfamily, PXK lacks catalytic kinase activity, highlighting a unique role in cellular signaling pathways. PXK predominantly localizes to the cell membrane, peripheral membrane, and cytoplasm, with occasional association with the plasma membrane, and exists in seven known isoforms. Isoform 1 shows high expression in tissues such as the spleen, testis, brain, and skeletal muscle, but remains absent in the heart. The diverse expression and functional implications of PXK underscore its importance in various physiological processes, making anti-PXK antibody (D-6) an essential tool for researchers studying its role in health and disease.
