SEE ALSO...

PTP-H1 Antibody (H-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects PTP-H1 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-PTP-H1 antibody (H-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PTP-H1 plays a crucial role in cellular signaling by acting as a protein tyrosine phosphatase, essential for regulating tyrosine phosphorylation—a key mechanism in signal transduction pathways. This reversible process controls various cellular functions, including growth, differentiation, and metabolism. PTP-H1 can counteract oncogenic protein-tyrosine kinases effects, such as those in the src family, potentially reversing transformation in cancer cells. PTP-H1 shares homology with cytoskeletal-associated proteins like band 4.1, ezrin, and talin, and contains PDZ and band 4.1 domains that facilitate interactions at the cytoskeleton-membrane interface. These interactions maintain cellular architecture and signaling, highlighting PTP-H1′s importance in both normal physiology and disease states.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent antibody for Western blotting. This product has been independently tested and validated in-house at Kinexus Bioinformatics Corporation as a very potent and highly specific antibody for Western blotting with in diverse human cell lines. In immunoblots with a mix of A431, HepG2 and MCF7 cell lysates, this antibody strongly detects an ~120 kDa protein, which is just slightly higher than the predicted size of ~104 kDa, and likely to be the intended target.
