SEE ALSO...

PTEN Antibody (A2B1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody specifically designed to detect PTEN, also known as phosphatase and tensin homolog, MMAC1, or TEP1. PTEN mouse monoclonal antibody (A2B1) targets the C-terminal epitope of PTEN, recognizing amino acids 388-400, and is effective across multiple species including mouse, rat, and human. PTEN (A2B1) antibody functions as a lipid and protein phosphatase, playing a significant role in regulating cellular processes such as growth, proliferation, and survival by antagonizing the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway. The loss or mutation of PTEN is frequently observed in various cancers, including glioblastomas, breast, kidney, and prostate cancers, highlighting its importance in maintaining normal cellular function and preventing tumorigenesis. PTEN monoclonal antibody (A2B1) is versatile in its applications, suitable for western blotting, immunoprecipitation, immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry (including paraffin-embedded samples), and ELISA assays, making anti-PTEN (A2B1) antibody an essential tool for cancer research and the study of PTEN-related pathways. Additionally, PTEN (A2B1) monoclonal antibody is available in multiple conjugated forms, such as agarose, HRP, PE, FITC, and various Alexa Fluor® conjugates, providing flexibility for diverse experimental requirements. By enabling accurate detection and analysis, PTEN mouse monoclonal antibody (A2B1) facilitates advancements in understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying cancer development and progression, as well as the potential for developing targeted therapies.

Hello, we are looking for PTEN Antibody to stained our sample which is goat ovary tissue in form of IHC-P. I wish you give me information that PTEN A2B1 (or any of your product) will be reactive to our sample. Thankyou.

Asked by: Dimas Reza
Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, we are not aware of any citations using this, or any of our other PTEN antibodies for detection in goat samples. Please contact our Technical Service Department with the protein sequence or accession number for the goat PTEN protein and we would be happy to help you perform sequence analysis to predict any antibodies that may cross-react with your species of interest.

I'll soon use Pten antibody for IF of Pten expression in mouse tissues so that I wonder if there's big difference between sc-7974 and sc-133197. Please advise.

Asked by: Jessica77
Thank you for your question. The main difference between PTEN (A2B1): sc-7974 and PTEN (B-1): sc-133197 is the immunogen sequence that they were raised against. Both antibodies are recommended for use in mouse tissue by IF. If you require further assistance, please contact Technical Service.
