PSMD1 Antibody (A-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects PSMD1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PSMD1 (A-3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PSMD1 protein, also known as proteasome (prosome, macropain) 26S subunit, non-ATPase 1, plays a crucial role in regulating the 26S proteasome, a vital protease complex responsible for selective degradation of ubiquitinated proteins. This process is essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis, regulating protein turnover, and controlling various cellular processes, including cell cycle and apoptosis. PSMD1 is the largest of the non-ATPase regulatory subunits of the 19S regulatory lid, and interaction with substrate proteins is critical for recognition and unfolding prior to degradation. Highest expression levels of PSMD1 are found in skeletal muscle and heart tissues, highlighting importance in muscle function and overall cellular health. anti-PSMD1 antibody (A-3) enables valuable insights into mechanisms of protein degradation and role of proteasome in various physiological and pathological conditions.
