POLR2G Antibody (C-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects POLR2G protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-POLR2G antibody (C-2) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. POLR2G protein, also known as DNA-directed RNA polymerase II subunit G, plays a crucial role in the transcription initiation phase of RNA polymerase II, which is essential for synthesizing messenger RNA from DNA templates. POLR2G protein is vital for proper gene expression function, as POLR2G helps recruit transcription machinery to promoter regions of genes, facilitating assembly of a complex that includes various transcription factors and chromatin remodeling factors. POLR2G forms a subcomplex with RPB4 subunit, which maintains RNA polymerase II complex integrity and prevents double-stranded DNA from entering the active site during transcription. POLR2G′s interaction with other subunits and transcription factors underscores POLR2G′s significance in regulating gene expression and ensuring accurate transcription initiation, making POLR2G a key player in cellular function and development.
