Podoplanin Antibody (F-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody designed to detect podoplanin, also known as glycoprotein 38 (gp38), T1-alpha, Aggrus, or PA2.26 antigen, across mouse, rat, and human species using western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) techniques. Anti-podoplanin antibody (F-3) targets amino acids 1-162 of the full-length human podoplanin protein, ensuring exceptional affinity and specificity. Podoplanin is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein that plays a critical role in various cellular processes, including cell adhesion, migration, and signaling. Podoplanin interacts with several key proteins such as CLEC-2, which is essential for platelet aggregation, and the ERM (Ezrin-Radixin-Moesin) family of proteins, which link the actin cytoskeleton to the plasma membrane, thereby influencing cell shape and motility. Additionally, podoplanin interacts with CD44 and Filamin A, facilitating important pathways in lymphangiogenesis and immune cell trafficking. Located primarily in stromal cells of peripheral lymphoid tissues and thymic epithelial cells, podoplanin is integral to maintaining the structural integrity and unique morphology of podocytes in the kidneys. Podoplanin monoclonal antibody (F-3) enables detailed studies of interactions and functions in immune responses, lymphatic development, and renal physiology. Anti-podoplanin antibody (F-3) is available in both non-conjugated form and a variety of conjugated forms, including horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® variants, providing versatility for diverse experimental applications. Podoplanin monoclonal antibody (F-3) is an invaluable tool for researchers investigating the multifaceted roles of podoplanin in cellular structure and function within the immune and renal systems.
