Podoplanin Antibody (8.1.1) is a Syrian hamster monoclonal IgG antibody engineered to detect Podoplanin, also known as glycoprotein 38 (gp38), T1-alpha, Aggrus, or PA2.26 antigen, specifically in mouse samples using western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF) techniques. Anti-Podoplanin antibody (8.1.1) is raised against a thymic epithelial cell line of mouse origin. Podoplanin is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein predominantly localized in stromal cells of peripheral lymphoid tissues and thymic epithelial cells, where Podoplanin plays a crucial role in maintaining the structural integrity and unique morphology of podocytes in the kidney. The precise localization of Podoplanin in the cell membrane is essential for regulating lymphatic endothelial cell function and facilitating critical cell-cell interactions. Podoplanin monoclonal antibody (8.1.1) enables detailed studies of lymphangiogenesis, immune cell migration, and podocyte biology in murine models. Additionally, anti-Podoplanin antibody (8.1.1) is available in both non-conjugated form and a variety of conjugated forms, including horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® variants, providing versatility for diverse experimental applications. Podoplanin (8.1.1) antibody serves as an invaluable tool for researchers exploring the multifaceted roles of Podoplanin in cellular structure and function within the immune and renal systems.

Do you have suitable secondary antibodies for this sc-53533 (IF)?

Asked by: tony1
Thank you for your question. podoplanin Antibody (8.1.1) is a Syrian hamster monoclonal IgG. Unfortunately, at this time we do not currently offer a secondary antibody that is anti-Syrian hamster IgG. As an alternative, this primary antibody is available directly conjugated to a variety of fluorochromes that would be suitable for IF including Alexa Fluor® 488, Alexa Fluor® 546, Alexa Fluor® 594, Alexa Fluor® 647, phycoerythrin or FITC.

Can I use this antibody on human samples?

Asked by: TinTin
No, unfortunately this antibody is only validated and warrantied for use on mouse samples at this time. We have several other antibodies that are human reactive, you can find them here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/browse/antibodies-Primary-Antibodies-lymphocyte-signaling-antibodies-podoplanin-Antibodies/_/N-1q7bhky
