PN-1 Antibody (C-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PN-1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-PN-1 antibody (C-12) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PN-1, also known as protease nexin-1, is a member of the serine protease inhibitor (serpin) superfamily, which plays a crucial role in regulating proteolytic activity in various biological processes. PN-1 specifically inhibits several key proteases, including thrombin, urokinase, and plasminogen activators, making PN-1 vital for maintaining homeostasis in tissue remodeling and cellular invasiveness. Expression of PN-1 is particularly prominent in the nervous system, where PN-1 helps modulate thrombin activity, thereby influencing neural injury and repair mechanisms.
