    PMCA Antibody (D-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects plasma membrane-type Ca2+-ATPases (PMCAs) in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-PMCA antibody (D-1) plays a crucial role in understanding the function of PMCAs, which are essential for maintaining calcium homeostasis in eukaryotic cells by mediating the export of bivalent calcium ions across the plasma membrane. PMCA (D-1) antibody supports research into PMCAs′ vital functions in various cellular processes, including muscle contraction, neurotransmitter release, and cell signaling, as these proteins help regulate intracellular calcium levels that influence numerous physiological responses. Additionally, PMCAs undergo alternative splicing, resulting in different isoforms expressed in a tissue- and developmental stage-specific manner, allowing for precise control of calcium signaling tailored to specific cell types. This specificity is particularly important in tissues with distinct calcium signaling requirements, such as cardiac and neuronal tissues, where the dynamics of calcium export can significantly impact overall function and health.
