SEE ALSO...

PMCA Antibody (F-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PMCA protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PMCA (F-3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Plasma membrane-type Ca2+-ATPases (PMCAs) play a crucial role in maintaining calcium homeostasis by mediating the export of bivalent calcium ions from eukaryotic cells, which is essential for numerous cellular processes, including muscle contraction, neurotransmitter release, and cell signaling. PMCA protein is located in the plasma membrane, where active pumping of calcium ions out of cells prevents toxic calcium overload and ensures proper cellular function. PMCA expression regulation is tightly controlled and varies across different tissues and developmental stages, allowing cells to adapt to specific physiological needs. Understanding PMCA function dynamics and regulation is vital for elucidating roles in health and disease, particularly in conditions associated with calcium dysregulation.
