PLC γ1 Antibody (H-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects phospholipase C gamma 1 (PLC γ1) in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PLC γ1 functions as a pivotal enzyme in the phosphoinositide signaling pathway, generating second messengers inositol 1,4,5-triphosphate and diacylglycerol from phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate, which are crucial for initiating receptor-mediated signal transduction. PLC γ1 predominantly resides in the cytoplasm and shows widespread expression in various tissues, including bronchiolar epithelium and lung fibroblasts, highlighting PLC γ1′s importance in respiratory physiology. Cytoplasmic localization of PLC γ1 enables rapid activation in response to growth factor stimulation, thereby regulating essential cellular processes such as proliferation and differentiation.
