PLC δ1 Antibody (A-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects phosphoinositide-specific phospholipase C δ1 (PLC δ1) in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PLC δ1 plays a pivotal role in calcium signaling, acting as a calcium signal amplifier activated by atypical GTP-binding proteins, facilitating critical receptor-mediated signal transduction pathways, including those associated with the oxytocin receptor and α1B-adrenoreceptor. PLC δ1 expression occurs in key tissues such as the brain, heart, lung, and testis, where PLC δ1 is involved in various physiological processes. Notably, abnormal PLC δ1 accumulation in the brains of individuals with Alzheimer′s disease suggests a potential link to the pathology of this neurodegenerative condition, highlighting PLC δ1′s relevance in both health and disease. Furthermore, PLC δ1′s interaction with other phospholipase C family members, such as PLC δ3 and PLC δ4, underscores PLC δ1′s integral role in signal transduction, where these proteins collectively contribute to the generation of second messengers inositol 1,4,5-triphosphate and diacylglycerol, essential for cellular communication and function.
