SEE ALSO...

PLC δ1 Antibody (D-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PLC delta 1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PLC δ1 (D-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PLC delta 1 protein plays a pivotal role in cellular signaling by catalyzing the hydrolysis of phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate to generate second messengers inositol 1,4,5-triphosphate (IP3) and diacylglycerol (DAG), which are crucial for the activation of various signaling pathways. PLC delta 1 is particularly important in neuronal signaling and cardiovascular function, as PLC delta 1 amplifies calcium signals and modulates the activity of GTP-binding proteins involved in receptor signaling. PLC delta 1 is highly expressed in the brain, heart, lung, and testis, and abnormal PLC delta 1 accumulation has been observed in the brains of individuals with Alzheimer′s disease, indicating a potential role in the disease′s pathology. Additionally, PLC delta 1 interacts with several other proteins, including transglutaminase II, which is involved in oxytocin receptor and α1B-adrenoreceptor signaling, highlighting PLC delta 1′s significance in various physiological processes.
