PGRMC1 Antibody (C-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects PGRMC1 in human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PGRMC1, also known as progesterone receptor membrane component 1 or MPR, is a 195 amino acid single-pass membrane protein primarily localized to the endoplasmic reticulum and microsomes, where PGRMC1 plays a critical role in mediating progesterone effects, a key steroid hormone involved in reproductive processes and embryonic development. PGRMC1 presence in tissues such as kidney and liver highlights PGRMC1′s importance in various physiological functions, including cell proliferation and differentiation regulation. PGRMC1 contains a cytochrome b5 heme-binding domain, essential for protein interactions that may influence functional capacity.
