Peg10 Antibody (C-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Peg10 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Peg10 (C-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Peg10, also known as Paternally expressed gene 10, EDR, KIAA1051, MAR2, MART2, MEF3L1, or RGAG3, is a 708 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in cell growth promotion and apoptosis prevention, making Peg10 a significant factor in tumor formation and metastasis. Peg10 is expressed in various tissues, including the placenta, brain, kidney, liver, thymus, lung, ovary, and spleen, and is localized to both the nucleus and cytoplasm, which is essential for regulatory functions in cellular processes. Notably, Peg10 exists as two distinct isoforms, RF1 and RF1/RF2, each possessing unique active sites yet both contributing to the control of cell growth and differentiation. The gene encoding Peg10 is located on human chromosome 7, a region associated with several genetic disorders, including Osteogenesis imperfecta and Williams-Beuren syndrome, highlighting Peg10′s importance in both normal physiology and disease states.
