SEE ALSO...

PDZK1 Antibody (E-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PDZK1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PDZK1 (E-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PDZK1 protein plays a crucial role in cellular signaling and protein scaffolding, particularly in organizing ion channels, which is vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and communication. PDZK1 is primarily localized to the plasma membrane of epithelial cells, where four PDZ domains interact with multiple types of channels simultaneously, effectively acting as an adaptor between different cell surface receptors. This unique structural feature allows PDZK1 to facilitate complex signaling pathways and maintain cellular function integrity. PDZK1 is significantly upregulated in human carcinomas of epithelial origin, and interactions with proteins such as MAP17 and cMOAT suggest a potential role in multidrug resistance, making PDZK1 a promising target for therapeutic strategies aimed at overcoming resistance in cancer cells.

Will the background of PDZK1 antibody (E-9): sc-390964 be too high for immunofluorescence detection of mouse tissues, have any relevant references?

Asked by: JJguo
Thank you for your question. PDZK1 Antibody (E-9) is recommended for detection of PDZK1 of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA. Currently, we do not have citations of this product for immunofluorescence experiments on mouse tissue samples. We can use blocking reagents of non-animal origin to strengthen the blocking effect.

I need to use an antibody to detect the protein in samples of monkey origin. Do you know if sc-390964: PDZK1 (E-9) mouse monoclonal antibody will work?

Asked by: Trav11
Please contact our Technical Service Department and we would be happy to perform sequence analysis and review our data to answer any questions you may have about additional species reactivity.
