PDZK1 Antibody (F-36) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PDZK1 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PDZK1 (F-36) antibody is available in a non-conjugated form, allowing for versatile applications in various experimental settings. PDZK1 plays a crucial role in cellular signaling and organization, particularly in epithelial cells, where PDZK1 is localized to the plasma membrane. This strategic positioning enables PDZK1 to function as an adaptor protein, facilitating interactions between different types of ion channels and cell surface receptors through four PDZ domains. Such interactions are vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and regulating ion transport, which is essential for numerous physiological processes. Notably, PDZK1 has been implicated in the development of multidrug resistance in human carcinomas of epithelial origin, as PDZK1 upregulation can enhance the clustering of proteins like cMOAT and MAP17, potentially contributing to therapeutic challenges in cancer treatment. Anti-PDZK1 antibody (F-36) enables researchers to explore PDZK1′s intricate roles in both normal physiology and disease states, making this antibody a valuable tool for advancing our understanding of cancer biology and drug resistance mechanisms.

Can sc-100337: PDZK1 (F-36) monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

Asked by: DefinitelyNotMatt
Thank you for your question. Yes, sc-100337: PDZK1 (F-36) is recommended for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
