PDE1C Antibody (G-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PDE1C protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-PDE1C antibody (G-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PDE1C protein, also known as phosphodiesterase 1C or HCAM3, plays a crucial role in regulating intracellular levels of cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) and cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP), which are vital second messengers involved in numerous signaling pathways. PDE1C protein is particularly important due to calmodulin-dependent activity, which is stimulated by a calcium-calmodulin complex, allowing hydrolysis of cAMP to 5′AMP and cGMP to 5′GMP. PDE1C is widely expressed, with two isoforms—PDE1C1 and PDE1C2—resulting from alternative splicing at the C-terminus. While both isoforms are present at low levels throughout the body, PDE1C2 is predominantly found in the brain and heart, whereas PDE1C1 is expressed mainly in the brain, heart, and lung. Understanding PDE1C distribution and function is essential for elucidating roles in various physiological processes and potential implications in diseases related to dysregulated cyclic nucleotide signaling.
