SEE ALSO...

PDE10A Antibody (G-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects PDE10A protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PDE10A (G-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PDE10A, or phosphodiesterase 10A, is a striatum-enriched dual-substrate phosphodiesterase that plays a crucial role in signal transduction by modulating cyclic nucleotides levels, specifically cGMP and cAMP. This regulation maintains medium spiny neurons′ excitability in the striatum, essential for motor control and cognitive functions. PDE10A protein is predominantly localized in the cytoplasm, where PDE10A hydrolyzes cyclic nucleotides to their corresponding nucleoside 5-prime monophosphates, effectively terminating cGMP- and cAMP-mediated signaling pathways. PDE10A protein is highly expressed in the putamen and caudate nuclei of the brain and testis, with moderate levels found in the pituitary gland, thalamus, and cerebellum. PDE10A structure includes an N-terminal regulatory domain and a C-terminal catalytic domain, which features two putative divalent metal binding sites, highlighting its complex functionality. Alternative splicing results in two isoforms of PDE10A, further diversifying its biological roles.
