Pcf11 Antibody (A-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects Pcf11 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Pcf11 antibody (A-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Pcf11 plays a vital role in regulating gene expression, specifically in cleavage and polyadenylation of pre-mRNA, which is essential for proper termination of transcription by RNA polymerase II. This process ensures accurate mRNA processing and stability, allowing for effective protein synthesis. Pcf11 is a 1,555 amino acid nuclear protein that functions as a key component of pre-mRNA cleavage complex II, and possesses a carboxy-terminal domain (CTD)-interaction domain that binds to phosphorylated heptad repeats within RNA polymerase II CTD, facilitating recruitment of polyadenylation machinery. Pcf11 is encoded on human chromosome 11, a region associated with several genetic disorders, including Jervell and Lange-Nielsen syndrome and Jacobsen syndrome, highlighting Pcf11′s importance in maintaining genomic integrity and proper cellular function.
