Pax-6 Antibody (AD2.38) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Pax-6 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. Anti-Pax-6 antibody (AD2.38) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Pax-6 plays a crucial role in eye development, functioning as a transcriptional regulator that binds to specific DNA sequences to control the expression of genes essential for the formation of ocular structures. Mutations or deletions in the Pax-6 gene can lead to severe congenital eye disorders, including aniridia, characterized by the absence of the iris, and Peters anomaly, which involves corneal clouding and other anterior segment malformations. The structure of Pax-6 includes a paired domain composed of two distinct DNA-binding subdomains, which allows effective recognition and binding to target genes, thereby influencing the developmental pathways critical for eye formation. The human Pax-6 gene produces two alternatively spliced isoforms, each with unique structural features that contribute to regulatory functions during embryonic development.

When should the TransCruz reagent sc-32766 X be used instead of the standard form sc-32766?

Asked by: Trav11
Thank you for your question. We recommend using the TransCruz reagent form when performing ChIP or GelShift assays. This form can also be used in other applications such as Western Blot or IHC, but the dilution should be adjusted by a factor of 10 to account for the higher original concentration.
