SEE ALSO...

Pax-2 Antibody (60-P) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Pax-2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Anti-Pax-2 antibody (60-P) is available as a non-conjugated format, providing researchers with a reliable tool for studying this critical protein. Pax-2 protein plays a vital role in the development of various organs, including kidneys, eyes, and ears, by regulating gene expression involved in organogenesis. Proper Pax-2 function is essential for normal embryonic development, as mutations in PAX2 gene can lead to significant congenital anomalies, such as renal hypoplasia and various eye disorders, including retinal coloboma and microphthalmia. PAX2 expression in specific embryonic structures, such as optic vesicle and otic vesicle, highlights its importance in visual and auditory system formation. Understanding Pax-2′s role in these developmental processes not only sheds light on normal organ formation but also provides insights into developmental disorder mechanisms, making Pax-2 (60-P) antibody an invaluable resource for researchers investigating developmental biology and related pathologies.

I am using Pax-2 (60-P): sc-130387 antibody for immunoprecipitation, how much antibody should I use?

Asked by: Cweed
Thank you for your question. We recommend using 1–10 µl (i.e., 0.2–2 µg) of antibody with 1 ml of cell lysate. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration. Please find our full immunoprecipitation protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoprecipitation-western-blots
