SEE ALSO...

Pax-2/5/8 Antibody (G-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects Pax-2/5/8 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Pax-2/5/8 antibody (G-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Pax-2/5/8 proteins play a crucial role in early developmental processes, particularly in the formation of the kidney, ureter, and various sensory organs. These proteins are transcription factors that contain paired domains, which are essential for their function in regulating gene expression during embryogenesis. PAX2 is expressed in primitive cells of the kidney, ureter, eye, ear, and central nervous system, highlighting PAX2′s importance in organogenesis. In human embryonic development, PAX2 is notably expressed in the optic vesicle and later in the retina, as well as in the otic vesicle, which later develops into the semicircular canals of the inner ear. Mutations in PAX2 can lead to renal hypoplasia and various ophthalmologic conditions, such as retinal coloboma and microphthalmia, underscoring PAX2′s significance in both renal and ocular health. PAX2 is located on human chromosome 10q24.3-q25.1, and understanding PAX2′s function and interactions is vital for elucidating the mechanisms underlying developmental disorders.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-377181 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Randy McDonald
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
