SEE ALSO...

Pax-5 Antibody (A-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a lambda light chain antibody that detects Pax-5 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry (IHC), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Pax-5 (A-11) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase, phycoerythrin, fluorescein isothiocyanate, and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Pax-5 plays a crucial role in B cell development, acting as a transcription factor that regulates B lymphocyte differentiation at various stages, including pro-B, pre-B, and mature B cells, while being absent in plasma cells. Such regulation maintains balance between immunoglobulin secretion and B cell proliferation, essential for robust immune response. Pax-5 participates in several signaling pathways influencing cell fate decisions during embryogenesis and in adult tissues. Mutations or dysregulation of PAX5 gene have been associated with various hematological malignancies, including small lymphocytic lymphomas, where translocations can lead to aberrant expression of Pax-5, highlighting significance in both normal immune function and disease pathology.

What is the difference between Pax-5 Antibody (A-11) X and the Pax-5 Antibody (A-11)? I´m considering this for a ChIP experiment. Cheers, Gudmundur

Asked by: Gummilogi
Thank you for your question. The only difference between the two versions of the antibody is that the X product is 10 times more concentrated (sc-13146 X, 200 µg/0.1 ml), and provided in a buffer that does not contain gelatin. Pax-5 Antibody (A-11) X, is our TransCruz reagent and is recommended for ChIP applications.
