PARP-4 Antibody (B-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PARP-4 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PARP-4 (B-11) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PARP-4 protein, also known as vault poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase (VPARP) and ADP-ribotransferase-like 1 (ADPRTL1), plays a crucial role in cellular processes by participating in vault formation - barrel-shaped cytoplasmic ribonucleoprotein particles involved in RNA and protein transport and storage. These vaults are essential for cellular functions such as drug resistance and gene expression regulation, highlighting PARP-4′s importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis. PARP-4 is primarily localized in the cytoplasm but can also be found in the nucleus, and shows widespread expression across various tissues, with highest levels detected in kidney, skeletal muscle, heart, leukocytes, placenta, lung, liver, spleen, and pancreas. PARP-4 features a PARP (ADPRT)-like catalytic domain, a C-terminal major vault protein-interacting domain, and an N-terminal BRCA1 C-terminus (BRCT) domain, which may facilitate important protein-protein interactions.
