SEE ALSO...

p-Stat1 Antibody (pY701.4A) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Tyr 701 phosphorylated Stat1α and Stat1β from mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). p-Stat1 (pY701.4A) antibody is available in a non-conjugated form, providing flexibility for various experimental needs. Stat1 plays a crucial role in immune response and cellular signaling pathways, particularly in mediating interferon and cytokine effects. Upon activation, Stat1 undergoes phosphorylation at Tyr 701, essential for dimerization and subsequent nuclear translocation, where Stat1 regulates gene expression involved in immune responses and cell growth. Phosphorylation of Stat1 is primarily mediated by Janus kinases (JAKs), activated by membrane receptor signaling from ligands such as interferons and growth factors. This process enables cells to respond effectively to pathogens and other stressors. Stat1 also interacts with other proteins in the signaling cascade, including Stat2, to form the ISGF3 transcription factor complex, critical for transcriptional response to type I interferons. anti-Stat1 antibody (pY701.4A) specifically detects phosphorylated Stat1, making this antibody an invaluable tool for researchers studying immune signaling pathways and their implications in various diseases.

I am using p-Stat1 (pY701.4A): sc-136229 for immunofluorescence, what dilution of this antibody should I use?

Asked by: Dr Ninau Qelp
Thank you for your question. We recommend a starting dilution of 1:50. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration. Please find our full immunofluorescence protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunofluorescence-cell-staining
