SEE ALSO...

p-PLC γ1 Antibody (pY783.27) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects the Tyr 783 phosphorylated PLC γ1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). anti-p-PLC γ1 antibody (pY783.27) is available in a non-conjugated form, allowing for versatile applications in various experimental settings. Phospholipase C-gamma 1 (PLC γ1) plays a crucial role in cellular signaling, particularly in hormonal signal transduction pathways, where PLC γ1 acts as a key mediator in the activation of downstream signaling cascades. The phosphorylation of PLC γ1 at Tyrosine 783 is particularly significant, as phosphorylation occurs just downstream of the kinase domain and is part of a sequence motif characteristic of the Trk family of protein-tyrosine kinase receptors. This specific phosphorylation event enhances the enzymatic activity of PLC γ1 and facilitates interaction with other signaling proteins, thereby amplifying the cellular response to growth factors. PLC γ1′s ability to form complexes with receptors such as TrkB underscores its importance in neurotrophic signaling and highlights potential as a therapeutic target in conditions where these pathways are dysregulated.

I am using p-PLC γ1 (pY783.27): sc-136186 antibody for immunoprecipitation, how much antibody should I use?

Asked by: cjMara
Thank you for your question. We recommend using 1–10 µl (i.e., 0.2–2 µg) of antibody with 1 ml of cell lysate. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration. Please find our full immunoprecipitation protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoprecipitation-western-blots
