Datasheets
  • p-INSR/Insulin Receptor β Antibody (10C3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1, cited in 41 publications, provided at 50 µg/0.5 ml
  • raised against phosphopeptide corresponding to amino acid residues surrounding tyrosine 1150/1151 of insulin R of human origin
  • recommended for detection of Tyr 1150 and Tyr 1151 dually phosphorylated insulin Rβ and IGF1 receptor of mouse, rat and human origin by WB and IP
  • m-IgGκ BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for p-INSR/Insulin Receptor β Antibody (10C3) for WB applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with p-INSR/Insulin Receptor β Antibody (10C3) (see ordering information below). For additional m-IgGκ BP conjugates see our complete list of Mouse IgG Binding Proteins.

SEE ALSO...

p-insulin Rβ Antibody (10C3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects p-insulin Rβ in mouse, rat, and human samples through western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP) applications. p-insulin Rβ (10C3) antibody is available in a non-conjugated form, specifically designed for detecting dually phosphorylated Tyr 1150 and Tyr 1151 of the insulin receptor β subunit and IGF1 receptor. The insulin receptor (IR) plays a crucial role in cellular metabolism by mediating insulin effects, a key hormone in glucose homeostasis. Located on the cell membrane, IR is a heterodimeric protein complex composed of an extracellular α subunit and an intracellular β subunit, which is essential for receptor function. Upon insulin binding, IR undergoes a conformational change that activates intrinsic tyrosine kinase activity, leading to phosphorylation of specific tyrosine residues within the β subunit. This phosphorylation event facilitates recruitment of various signaling proteins that propagate the insulin signal, ultimately promoting glucose uptake and glycogen synthesis in target tissues. The human insulin receptor gene encodes a 1,382 amino acid protein that is cleaved to form functional α and β subunits, and undergoes post-translational modifications, such as phosphorylation at Tyr 1322, which further modulates activity and signaling capabilities.
