The data sheet says that Tyr1068 is also designated as Tyr1092. The protein reference NP_005219.2 shows me a Tyr at 1069 and at 1092. So which one does this antibody detect now?

Asked by: ToxVogel
Thank you for your question. These two phosphorylation sites are actually the same site, it's the numeration that varies for this protein. The site this antibody detects is in literature often referred to as Tyr 1068, but according to the swiss-prot accession#P00533, it is Tyr1092.

I have purchase this antibody: "https://www.scbt.com/scbt/product/p-egfr-antibody-15a2"; but there are always two bands shown. one is near 170, the other is around 130. Is that right?
