ORC3 Antibody (C-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ORC3 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-ORC3 antibody (C-12) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ORC3 is a vital component of the origin recognition complex (ORC), which is essential for the initiation of DNA replication. ORC3 plays a critical role in forming pre-replication complexes necessary for accurate and timely DNA replication during the cell cycle. ORC3, along with other ORC subunits, binds to specific origins of replication, serving as a scaffold for assembling additional initiation factors. This interaction ensures DNA replication occurs at the right time and place within the cell, maintaining genomic stability. ORC3 and associated proteins are particularly important in proliferating cells, where any dysregulation can lead to uncontrolled cell division or genomic instability, common features of cancer.
