ORC3 Antibody (1D6) is a rat monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects ORC3 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. Anti-ORC3 antibody (1D6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ORC3 is a vital component of the origin recognition complex (ORC), which is essential for the initiation of DNA replication. ORC3 plays a critical role in forming pre-replication complexes necessary for accurate and timely DNA replication during the cell cycle. ORC3, along with other ORC subunits, binds to specific origins of replication, serving as a scaffold for the assembly of additional initiation factors. Proper functioning of ORC3 is crucial for G1-S transition, ensuring DNA replication occurs only once per cell cycle, thereby maintaining genomic stability. Dysregulation of ORC proteins, including ORC3, can lead to replication stress and has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer. Understanding ORC3′s role in the cell cycle and interactions with other ORC subunits is essential for elucidating DNA replication mechanisms and implications in cellular health and disease.

When should the TransCruz reagent sc-23888 X be used instead of the standard form sc-23888?

Thank you for your question. We recommend using the TransCruz reagent form when performing ChIP or GelShift assays. This form can also be used in other applications such as Western Blot or IHC, but the dilution should be adjusted by a factor of 10 to account for the higher original concentration.
