SEE ALSO...

Nup93 Antibody (F-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects Nup93 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Nup93 antibody (F-2) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Nup93, a key component of the nuclear pore complex (NPC), plays a vital role in mediating the transport of macromolecules between the nucleus and cytoplasm, which is essential for maintaining cellular function and homeostasis. Nup93 is predominantly localized to the nuclear side of the NPC, particularly in the basket terminal ring area, where Nup93 forms a complex with other nucleoporins such as Nup188, Nup53, and Nup205. This interaction is crucial for the stability and proper assembly of the NPC, ensuring efficient nucleocytoplasmic transport. Nup93 is characterized by a coiled-coil domain at its N-terminus and a C-terminal helical domain, which are important for its structural integrity and function. Proper functioning of Nup93 is essential for cell viability, as disruptions in Nup93 activity can lead to impaired nucleocytoplasmic transport and subsequent cellular dysfunction.
