NKG2-D Antibody (1D11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects NKG2-D in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB) and flow cytometry (FCM). NKG2-D is a crucial receptor expressed on natural killer (NK) cells, γδ T cells, and CD8+ αβ T cells, playing a significant role in the immune response against tumor cells and stressed cells. NKG2-D (1D11) antibody recognizes the stress-inducible protein MICA, which is often overexpressed in various epithelial tumors, thereby facilitating the immune system′s ability to target and eliminate malignant cells. The interaction between NKG2-D and MICA not only enhances the cytotoxic activity of NK cells but also contributes to the overall regulation of immune responses, making NKG2-D a vital component in cancer immunotherapy research. Anti-NKG2-D antibody (1D11) provides reliable detection and characterization of this important receptor, aiding in the understanding of its role in immune surveillance and potential therapeutic applications.

Can NKG2-D (1D11): sc-23869 monoclonal antibody be used in IF or IHC with mouse tissue or cells? Will there be non-specific staining?

Asked by: cjMara
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent, NKG2-D (1D11): sc-23869 is available in a variety of direct conjugations, such as HRP, PE, FITC and AlexaFluors.
