Nischarin Antibody (D-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Nischarin in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Nischarin is a novel intracellular protein that plays a crucial role in regulating cell migration by interacting with the cytoplasmic domain of integrin α5/β1 and various members of the PAK family of kinases. Specifically, Nischarin binds to PAK1, inhibiting PAK1′s ability to phosphorylate substrates, which is vital for controlling cellular signaling pathways that govern motility and cytoskeletal dynamics. The localization of the Nischarin-PAK1 complex to membrane ruffles is significant, as these structures are essential for facilitating cell movement. Additionally, Nischarin acts as an antagonist of Rac function, further influencing actin filament organization and contributing to the regulation of cell migration. Primarily expressed in the cytoplasm of kidney and brain tissues, Nischarin′s unique interactions and regulatory functions underscore its importance in cellular processes and potential implications in various physiological and pathological conditions.
