    NHE-9 Antibody (B-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects NHE-9 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). NHE-9 Antibody (B-2) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. NHE-9, also known as SLC9A9 (solute carrier family 9 (sodium/hydrogen exchanger), member 9), is a 645 amino acid multi-pass membrane protein that is primarily localized to late endosomes and is a member of the monovalent cation/proton antiporter family of ion transporters. NHE-9 is expressed ubiquitously, with the highest levels found in heart and skeletal muscle, and lower levels in the liver, placenta, and kidney. NHE-9 plays a crucial role in the electroneutral exchange of sodium ions for protons across cellular membranes, which is vital for maintaining organelle ion homeostasis and overall cellular function. Disruptions in NHE-9 have been linked to early-onset behavioral and developmental disorders, including attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder and intellectual disability, highlighting its significance in neurodevelopmental processes.
