NELF-A Antibody (G-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects NELF-A of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-NELF-A antibody (G-11) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. NELF-A, also known as WHSC2 (Wolf-Hirschhorn syndrome candidate 2), plays a crucial role in transcription elongation regulation as a component of the negative elongation factor (NELF) complex. This complex is essential for RNA polymerase II elongation repression, working with DRB sensitivity-inducing factor (DSIF) to control transcription. NELF-A interaction with DSIF increases RNA polymerase II pause duration at specific sites, influencing gene expression. Dysregulation can lead to developmental disorders, including Wolf-Hirschhorn syndrome, characterized by mental and developmental defects due to chromosome 4p16.3 deletion. Human NELF-A encodes a 528 amino acid protein predominantly expressed in endothelial cells, highlighting NELF-A significance in vascular biology and transcriptional regulation.
