NCAM Antibody (E-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody designed to recognize the human Neural Cell Adhesion Molecule (NCAM), also known as CD56 or NCAM1. NCAM is a crucial cell surface glycoprotein located on the plasma membrane, where NCAM mediates cell-to-cell adhesion essential for neural development, synaptic plasticity, and the formation of intricate neural networks. NCAM interacts with key partners such as fibroblast growth factor receptors (FGFRs) and integrins, facilitating signal transduction pathways vital for neuronal growth, differentiation, and migration.
