SEE ALSO...

Mx1 Antibody (E-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Mx1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Mx1 antibody (E-5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Mx1 protein, also known as myxovirus resistance protein 1, plays a crucial role in immune response to viral infections, particularly in nuclear localization. Nuclear localization allows Mx1 to exert antiviral effects directly at viral replication sites, providing selective resistance to highly pathogenic viruses such as H5N1 influenza virus. Upon induction by interferon-alpha and interferon-beta, Mx1 accumulates in the nucleus, interfering with viral life cycles and inhibiting viral replication to enhance host defense mechanisms. Mx1′s interaction with other proteins in immune signaling pathways further underscores importance in host antiviral response.
