MLF1 Antibody (D-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects MLF1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MLF1 (D-1) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Myeloid leukemia factor 1 (MLF1) is a 268 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in regulating cell cycle progression and is implicated in translocations associated with acute myeloid leukemia. MLF1 functions as a negative regulator of the cell cycle, acting upstream of tumor suppressor p53, and is essential for inducing p53-dependent cell cycle arrest in murine embryonic fibroblasts. MLF1 is primarily located in the nucleus, where MLF1 interacts with various transcription factors and other proteins involved in cell cycle regulation. This nuclear localization is vital for MLF1 function, as nuclear positioning allows modulation of genes that control cell proliferation and apoptosis. Dysregulation of MLF1 can lead to aberrant cell cycle progression and contribute to leukemogenesis, highlighting MLF1′s importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis. Additionally, Polo-like kinase 1 (Plk1) phosphorylates MLF1 at the Thr78 site, which triggers MLF1 ubiquitination and degradation during the metaphase to anaphase transition, further emphasizing the intricate regulatory mechanisms governing MLF1 activity.
