MIZIP Antibody (E-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects MIZIP of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-MIZIP antibody (E-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. MIZIP, also known as MCH-R1-interacting zinc finger protein or ZMYND19, is a 227 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in cellular signaling by interacting with the melanin-concentrating hormone receptor 1 (MCH-1R), thereby influencing metabolic processes and energy homeostasis. MIZIP is expressed in various tissues, including the stomach, brain, liver, testis, heart, kidney, and skeletal muscle, and MIZIP localization to both the cytoplasm and cell membrane is essential for regulating MCH-1R signaling pathways. Human MIZIP shares 100% sequence identity with mouse and rat counterparts, indicating a highly conserved function across species. MIZIP is encoded on human chromosome 9, which contains over 900 genes and represents nearly 4% of the human genome, highlighting MIZIP importance in various biological processes.
